Repairs, maintenance and disrepair
Your landlord is usually responsible for most repairs to the structure and exterior of your home, and to things like heating, hot water, drains and sanitation.
- Report problems to your landlord in writing and keep a copy, with dates and photos.
- If repairs aren't done, the official guidance explains how your local council may be able to help.
- What applies can depend on your tenancy and the problem, so check the official guidance.
